Founded by Harrison Thacker in 2022, BLANK CO. is an archival-based menswear label that refines historical garments for modern wear.
The label began with a deep fascination with vintage, developed through years in the industry and an ongoing study of original garments.
The interest has always been in clothing, not fashion. In the garment itself rather than the industry, the shows, and the trend cycle that surround it.
Every concept starts with a reference drawn from our archive, with particular emphasis on workwear and militaria from the early to mid 1900s, made in periods when construction was determined by function.
Fabrication and construction are the priority, followed closely from the original. From there the garment is reworked. Proportion is adjusted so it sits correctly on a body now. Cloth and colour are reconsidered. Details are drawn from more than one reference where the result is better for it.
Wear and imperfection are a large part of the design language. Where a garment calls for it, those marks are kept rather than corrected.
Each reference is reinterpreted, not remade. The focus is on preserving the integrity of the original while evolving it into a contemporary form.
